| Stanley didn't
hold real tight tolerances on the cast fence post, so I've made knobs with
different sized threads for a perfect match.
I need all buyers to give me an accurate diameter measurement of their fence post. There are two easy ways to do this. First, you can use a set of dial calipers or a micrometer, as shown in Figure 1. Second, you can make a wooden gauge block with three common twist drills - 13/32", 27/64" and 7/16". This will give you an excellent indication of the diameter of the post. Don't force the post into a tight hole - it will just compress the wood.
